A greener vacation is displayed at our entry

I definitely love holidays – than not! So when The Home Depot asked me to be part of this year’s holiday style challenge, I was happy! My theme to this challenge is holiday greenery, perfect because trees, wreaths and wreaths are exactly what our hallway needs. We moved into our house last spring, so we’ve only had one birthday so far in this house. Last year my focus was mainly on decorating our living room, so this year my front porch and foyer got some love. Planning and shopping When I sat down to plan where and how to decorate, I knew two things. First, I wanted to add some holiday cheer to the exterior of our home and two, I wanted to create a welcoming scene that stays true to my neutral love in our hallway. You have achieved both goals easily thanks to the wide range of high-quality, affordable products on The Home Depot. At the very least, they have everything you need to decorate your home for the holidays! Also, as a mother of two with a newborn during the pandemic, the fact that I was able to ship everything straight to our door with contactless delivery made my life a lot easier with holiday outdoor decorating Want to hear something crazy? We owned three different homes, but we never set out for the holidays. That ends this year. Since the front porch is so small and completely exposed, I knew I wanted to keep things simple while using products that can withstand the elements. Enter this beautiful 7.5-foot LED angel standing proudly next to our front march and a gorgeous pre-lit garland hanging on our front door. These were the perfect items for our home and I love the way they look – especially at night! I commissioned my husband to assemble the angel and was surprised how quickly he installed and ready to go. The height of this screen is truly impressive and it makes the perfect statement piece for your front garden or porch. The wreath is battery powered and requires just a few batteries and a quick puff from the box. Its 30-inch diameter is the perfect size for our front door, and I love that it has a few different settings, including a timer! A potted Christmas tree might sound funny to some, but one of the things I think about whenever we look at a new home is how it will look on the holidays. This house was no different. From the premiere we featured here, I thought a potted Christmas tree would be the perfect addition to this corner. I never managed to add one in the last year, so this year I made sure to include one! This is the perfect size as it is 6.5 feet high and around 40 inches wide. While you can definitely embellish it if you like, I love the way it looks on its own. Decorating our Entry Table The small table in our entrance is one of my favorite spaces for decorating, and as one of the first things our guests see, it is one of the most important! I achieved the look I was after with a 3-foot pre-lit Christmas tree and beautiful white poinsettia arrangement. Love the look of this crumbling tree and the height it adds to the table. It would also be a great addition to a dining room sideboard or even a fireplace mantle! It looks very lit as well. No entrance table is complete without floral arrangement in my opinion, and I fell in love with this lovely white poinsettia. They come ready to go in a sturdy ceramic vase and I think they add the perfect amount of holiday flair to this small space. Banister-Ready Garland What makes a ready-made banister wreath? A few things: battery-powered lamps so you don’t have to worry about running wires around the stairs, realistic greenery and plenty of length. This collar checks all those boxes and the fact that his crowd made me faint right from the start. I managed to decorate our handrails without any hooks, ribbons or additional accessories by tucking or wrapping a moldable garland around existing features and hardware. there he is! The perfect wreath This beautiful flowing 36 ” wreath is battery-operated and comes with a timer. It’s the perfect addition to your front door, windows, or even over the mantle of your home! I plan on using it as-is, but it will also make a perfect base wreath for picks, ornaments, and additional figurines. Neutral accent elements I wanted to make my foyer look and feel more comfortable. So, I chose some neutral-tone elements to decorate with. We usually keep a green plant in a basket on the ground, but on holidays, I’ll remove the plant and replace it with this super soft blanket. This throw looks great in a basket, but equally it will look like it’s covered in a sofa, comfy chair, or even the foot of the bed! I also chose a natural jute area rug to place under our front door and went a large 4×6 to add cute texture to the space. I think the jute rug is the perfect piece for neutral lovers like me! It was so much fun taking part in this year’s style challenge with The Home Depot! I hope this post provides you with some holiday greenery ideas and inspiration to decorate this holiday season!
