Slider Meatball Cheese Butter Garlic Perfect for Parties, Snacks, Night Meals, Summer Days and even Holidays! Easy to make and delicious recipe! Super-smooth baked rolls, topped with ricotta cheese, tender meatballs, mozzarella cheese and delicious garlic parmesan butter. My recipe is perfect for a family of 4, however you can easily double or triple the recipe for a larger family or party. Slider Sub Meatballs Because I’m a fan of easy and convenient recipes, I enjoy using Italian frozen meatballs. My kids just love them! They always come out tender and juicy. However, you can always use a homemade recipe or even a crock pot recipe. Since I made 8 meatballs, I cook 8 meatballs with 1/2 jar of marinara sauce. The best wraps to use on this slider are freshly baked rolls. You can find baked rolls in the bakery section or bread aisle of any grocery store. It’s square in size and perfect for small, hand-held sandwiches. Super Soft baked rolls and breads are perfect for this recipe. To start, preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a smaller, rectangular baking dish with a nonstick spray. For this 8-by-8 slider recipe I’m using an 11 x 7 plate, but anything 9 x 13 or smaller will work. If you are doubling the recipe, you can use a larger baking dish. The baking dish is simply used to heat up sandwiches, so use the size to fit the number of sliders you’re making. Meatball Slider Next, cut the roll in half and place the bottom pieces on the baking dish. Using a spoon, cover the bread with half a cup of ricotta cheese. You can use more or less ricotta as desired. If you’re using frozen Italian meatballs like we do, bake them for 20 minutes over a medium-low heat with 1/2 jar of marinara sauce (12 ounces). Put one meatball on each roll. Using the extra sauce in the skillet, add a little marinara sauce over each meatball. Sprinkle some grated basil and parmesan over the meatballs. Finally, cut two slices of mozzarella cheese into 8 small squares (each in half twice) and place on top of each meatball. Here’s a tip: You can cut meatballs in half to make them easier for babies to eat. In a microwave-safe bowl, melt two tablespoons of the butter. Mix 1/4 teaspoon of minced garlic, 1 tablespoon of grated Parmesan cheese, and a pinch of basil and pepper to taste. Put garlic butter on each roll generously. Cover the rolls and bake for 20 minutes until warm and melted the mozzarella cheese. This portion is easy because the meatballs are already cooked and warm before putting them in the oven. Ricotta cheese on meatball sliders is really what makes them so delicious. This meatball slider is full of butter and cheese and full of Italian flavors. Plus you can’t get over the melted mozzarella cheese … I mean look at it! Tasty! Serve warm and flavorful soft meatballs with a side salad or chips if it’s lunchtime. Our pasta salad is also great on sunny days. Since there are 4 people in my family, every 2 sliders are great for us! They are decadent and filling. Whether it’s playday or a summer day outside the pool, these sandwiches are always a favorite! Make sure to prepare the famous Chocolate Chip biscuit for dessert!
