Halloween Cocoa Krispies Treats Here at Smart School House, we love delicious Halloween treats like Halloween Peeps and Ghost Meringues. Much like traditional Rice Krispies, Cocoa Krispies are made with marshmallows and butter. Cocoa Krispies have a delicious chocolate flavour. The chocolate brown color makes it perfect for Halloween! Begin by melting the butter and mini marshmallows together over medium-low heat. Then pour the crunchy cocoa into the melted marshmallow mixture. Stir in the cereal until completely combined. Next, prepare either a rectangular or square dish with nonstick spray. If you use a square plate, the crunchy cocoa will come out thicker. We used a 9″ x 13″ baking dish for this recipe. Now comes the really fun part! Crunchy Cocoa Candy Recipe Before the candy cools, add some Halloween-colored sprinkles. Next, use the melted chocolate to drizzle over it. Melted flakes, found in the baking aisle, work best for this part! I put paper towels under the plate so I can also sprinkle the plate with some chocolate for fun. I think it makes Cocoa Krispies even scarier! Before the chocolate hardens, add the large Halloween granules in addition to the eyeballs. Prepare your baking dish with non-stick spray. Pour the Krispy Cocoa mixture into the dish and press to make sure it is evenly distributed. Add small Halloween sprinkles over melted spray. Chocolate over plate, I put napkins underneath so I can sprinkle the sides of the glass as well as add medium Halloween sprinkles, put candy eyeballs. All the while, let the Halloween Cocoa Krispies cool for about 20 minutes Prepare a butter knife with non-stick spray Cut the Cocoa Krispies into squashes Keep leftovers in an airtight container or zip-top plastic bag
