Housebuilder Hill is confirmed as a joint venture partner in the £ 940 million renovation of Teviot Estate in Poplar, East London. The Poplar Community Housing and Renovation Association (HARCA) has selected the Home Builder Company for the role in the project that will see the construction of between 1,800 and 2,500 homes, as well as new public spaces and local stores. The contract period is up to 20 years, with a development value ranging between £ 682 million – £ 940 million. The joint venture will designate a masterplan in the first half of this year to develop designs in consultation with residents, the Tower Hamlets and other stakeholders. A formal planning request is expected to be submitted in mid-late 2022. The scheme was put out to tender in February last year and the homeowner has been formally appointed to this role with a contract notice posted this week.
