Learn how to install one yourself. the required materials ; Medallion cap; Construction adhesive; Painter’s tape; Install a ceiling medallion that covers imperfections and adds style to a home. Remove the light fixture Make sure the circuit board is powered off and the lighting unit is removed. If you are uncomfortable working with electricity, have an electrician do so. Convenient placement: Apply construction adhesive to the underside of the medallion, and align the hole in the center with the electrical box in the ceiling. Reconnect the light fixture: Use painter’s tape to hold the medallion to the ceiling while reconnecting the light fixture. Tightening Screws: Once done, the patch canopy will fasten securely to the ceiling, so you can remove painter’s tape and tighten the mounting screws.
