CGI from Lewisham Gateway Phase 2 The 26-month-long construction consists of the design and construction of 649 apartments across four blocks ranging in height from 11 to 30 stories. The project also includes retail units equipped with veneer and core, veneer finishing space for cinema, a gym equipped for veneer and core, and a power center in the basement. Kane, who works in Balfour Beatty’s M&E division, Balfour Beatty Kilpatrick, will install ready-made utility capsules in each apartment. The power center will also be ready off-site, along with aisle service units that hold all the proprietary low temperature hot water, booster cold water and sprinkler tubes, and electrical containment. All construction will be off-site at the Kane plant in Northern Ireland. Other works include the complete sanitation installation throughout the project, which consists of all the above ground water pipes, rainwater networks and the local cold water system, served by the cold water storage rooms. All specialized systems, including sprinkler systems, dry and wet lightning strikes, ventilation systems, access control, fire alarms, CCTV, PV systems and electric vehicle charging systems will be designed, supplied and installed as part of Kane’s business scope. Once completed, the Lewisham Gate will be operated by Get Living, a real estate investment firm backed by Delancey and Qatari Diar.
