Leading manufacturer of power tools, Makita UK, has expanded its flagship range of LXT cordless machines with the launch of several new products including the 18V LXT Brushless Disc Cutter, 18V LXT Brushless Angle Drill and the much awaited 18V LXT Brushless multi-tool. DTM52 18V LXT Brushless Multi Tool With the DTM52 Multi Tool, operators can get the job done quickly and efficiently as this versatile machine delivers up to 20,000 vibrations per minute and offers 12 angle settings through 360 degrees, providing optimal blade positioning in any working direction. The tool is designed for user comfort and improved handling with a small diameter, easy-to-grip body. It includes variable speed control, so users can easily adjust the output to the task – and constant speed control ensures optimum operation at all times. To improve comfort, the DTM52 features Anti-Shake Technology (AVT) that reduces users’ exposure to vibration. This is achieved through the use of a double housing structure, which uses a damper and anti-vibration cushions. The DTM52 can be used across a wide range of jobs and is compatible with all Starlock, Starlock Plus and Starlock Max accessories to suit any job. The newly designed accessory’s automatic tool-less ejection means that the attachments can be removed safely and easily in just seconds. DCC500 18V LXT Brushless (125mm) Disc Cutter The DCC500 (125mm) disc cutter is ideal for cutting construction products with a diamond blade. To maximize user productivity, this machine has a load speed of 8800 rpm and a cutting capacity of 27-40 mm depending on the bevel angle. The DCC500 also features Makita Automatic Drive Torque (ADT) technology that automatically changes cutting speed based on load conditions for optimal operation. To ensure user safety, the DCC500 can be fitted with a dust collection bag so that particles are captured during dry cutting operations – however it is recommended that M class dust suction be used where possible. For wet cutting applications, an optional water supply guard (191M48-2) is available with a feed hose and integrated water bottle to offer an alternative solution to dust suppression. Additional accessories such as guide rail and guide rail adapter are also available and are essential to ensure accurate and straight cuts. Furthermore, the machine also features the Makita Wireless Auto Start System (AWS) which means the DCC500 can be connected to compatible dust extractors via Bluetooth – so that the extractor starts automatically when the tool is used. DDA450 18V LXT Angle Drill The DDA540 angle drill can be used across a wide range of projects and is ideal for drilling in tight and difficult spaces. The DDA540 also allows for forward or backward rotation so that the bit can be easily removed from the work material. This machine offers a maximum torque of 70 Nm and a no-load speed of 1,400 rpm – with two speed options so users can easily match the output to the task at hand. For ease of use and visibility, the DDA540 features an LED work light. Find out more about Makita and its wide range of products on the Makita UK website.
