Makita UK has moved the location of its Milton Keynes plant service center (located on corporate headquarters), to a new, larger site to house the regional service business. The new 20,000-square-foot buildings in Blacklands, due to officially open on April 6, will enable Makita to strengthen its repair and service support commitments to customers and complete a portfolio of three dedicated centers in London, Glasgow and Milton Keynes. Products covered under the company’s warranty agreement can be deployed (by group order) or delivered (with advance reservation), at each FSC to Makita’s technical experts and engineers to perform product service, detailed diagnostics and high standards of repair work when required. With a focus on improving levels of technical knowledge across the construction sector, the new large buildings in Blakelands will also be used to host Makita UK accredited training, as well as Authorized Service Agent (ASA) workshops and seminars. Furthermore, Makita will use the new location to host professional training courses focused on the electrical and mechanical service requirements of Makita tools. Speaking about the opening of the Security Cooperation Forum, Tony Coleman, Technical Director at Makita UK commented: “The opening of this larger new location is testament to the growing popularity of our tools, as well as our long-standing commitment to providing exceptional customer support.
