Are you ready for some Saint Patrick’s Day rainbow fun? Just look at this pretty design from I Should Be Mopping the Floor. It is bright, cheerful and full of fun. It is also not difficult to do this, especially with the detailed step-by-step instructions provided, at first glance, it appears that the embroidery canvas used was outlined in rainbow colors. However, if you take a closer look (and there is a great close-up photo available), you will find that rainbow stripes are sewn onto it. What a creativity! To create this project, you’ll need standard embroidery supplies including 14 different hoop and colors of thread. Besides these items, you’ll need some green felt and ropes of little owl balls to go outside the hoop. The stitches used in the project are the backstitch of the rainbow, and the blanket stitch for clover, it may look tough, but it really isn’t. The designer also notes that if you don’t want to sew too many rainbow stripes, you can spacing them out even more, and bring some luck at St. Patrick’s Day with this free pattern and festive hand embroidery.
