You know, dough and sticky clay has been the rage with kids for a few years. However, TikTok came out and graduated the biggest kids in all things “aesthetic”! Our crystal paste is a great example of what the word “aesthetic” means to children. It’s about beauty, with smooth movements, interesting colors, and satisfying sounds. Those of you who have kids my age know exactly what I’m describing 🙂 It’s fun, harmless, and aesthetic dough is good for fun. Crystal Paste Our crystal paste is smooth, smooth, and colorful. This DIY dough tutorial isn’t just easy to make, you probably have key dough ingredients in your home already. Your kids will love this craft! It smells very good and keeps the kids entertained at home (which is what we all need right now!). After quickly mixing the two-ingredient super-smooth dough, coat it into colorful iridescent glitter and rainbow sprinkles. The combination of these two things makes the dough look like a colorful crystal rock! The crystals are colorful, shiny and beautiful. Each one is different, just like how this paste looks when you slide it in between your hands. We created a TikTok video for this aesthetic dough recipe. Check it out … my daughter had a lot of fun: smartschoolhouseCrystals give the world good energy. Recipe in the comments! ## Beauty We live in Southern California and have been stuck at home for nearly a year. Can you find the link? Thank goodness for the fun things like TikTok to keep us busy! Are you on Tik Tok? So are we (see our account here)! We are a family-friendly account with easy recipes and crafts for all ages. Kids are totally able to mix this dough together. Well, keep in mind that this type of dough is not for young children. This is definitely for children 7 years or older. Of course, you can achieve this with interested young children as long as you keep an eye on them. As with all dough recipes, it can get messy if you don’t work slowly and keep things under control. You can make a small batch or a larger amount of crystal paste. You only need to mix 1 part conditioner with 2 parts flour. My daughter grabbed one of the bottles of conditioner in her bathroom, and it smelled really good. You do not have to use a specific type of air conditioner. What kind would he do! For this reason, you may have to add a little flour or conditioner to get the consistency. The crystal paste is soft, slow moving and smells good. Once dipped in glitter and spray, it turns into a beautiful iridescent paste. As you move it in your hands (shown in the TikTok video above), the look of the crystal changes in your hands. This is exactly what the aesthetic is. Children will say it is, “My disease.” Fun! More popular dough recipes from Smart Schoolhouse: You’ll need hair conditioner (any brand) all-purpose flour Chunky iridescent glitter Small rainbow sprinkles (the kind you put on frosting, found in the baking aisle) Other needed supplies: Mixing bowl Wax spoon Plastic bags Paper sealable to store directions In a mixing bowl, mix 1 part conditioner with 2 parts all-purpose flour. For example: 1/4 cup of conditioner with 1/2 flour, mix the ingredients together until the dough is not sticky. Use your hands to check the level of adhesion. If it is too sticky, sprinkle more flour until soft (but not dry) over the wax paper, place a small pile of glitter next to a small pile of sprinkles Dip the soft ball of dough into the glitter and sprinkles, fold it gently and fold sprinkles and glitter into the dough to try out an aesthetic crystal dough! Store the dough in a resealable plastic bag
