With the number of unemployed in the UK likely to reach 2.6 million in mid-2021 due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, BBX UK Business Community Tool has teamed up with Hampshire Training and Assessment (HTAA) to offer 20 candidates training courses to fully qualify and return To work across a variety of business sectors. Whether you are on vacation, unemployed or looking for a job change, we want to help get people back into work and by cooperating with, ”says John Attridge, BBX UK CEO. HTAA has found a solution for those who cannot afford the courses or qualifications. ” HTAA offers a range of online and in-center courses for different entry levels across sectors such as oil and gas, plumbing, electricity and renewable energy. As part of the campaign, BBX UK will sponsor 20 individuals looking to qualify and set up their own businesses by offering an interest-free line of credit to cover course costs. Not the first time HTAA has supported getting people back into work, as it helped a homeless man in 2017 who was a gas engineer retrain and gain his qualifications for free. “He lived in a nearby cemetery, so I sat with him to see how we could help,” explains John Raziel, director of the Center for Training and Evaluation in Hampshire. “I found out that he used to be high in the gas industry and wanted to stand on his feet again but he had no budget for any training. I offered him free training and as a result of his work he ended up saving enough money to deposit an apartment and he is now back in London to work in the role he had before. We have given him his career and we are so passionate about helping others do the same. ” HTAA not only trains people to be fully certified in their chosen sector, but also lends a helping hand to those who want to set up their own business, provide ongoing support and introduce them to suppliers. As part of this campaign, BBX UK will also be there to help cover some of the business creation costs such as branding, website design, marketing and accounting. “Being the boss of yourself is very rewarding in many ways, and once you work for yourself, few of them are back in business. Certainly, since I founded Checkatrade in 1998, there has been a shortage of qualified, reliable and honest merchants,” says Kevin Byrne, founder of Checkatrade. So, if you are reliable and honest, all you have to do is qualify, this is the opportunity for 20 great people, and 20 who are lucky enough to get sponsored will never look back. ” Courses are held online and at the Hampshire Training and Assessment Center. Anyone in the UK can apply for the BBX UK sponsored qualification. If you are interested in becoming a fully certified dealer, please call your CV and contact number for a preliminary assessment of suitability.
