Designer holiday decorations for the first time? Do not worry! With a little help from The Home Depot, Stacie Abdallah of Stacie’s Spaces has managed to bring some holiday spirit into her outdoor garden and tree for the first time. Check out her blog below for some great tips and tricks! Can I let you in with a little secret? I have never decked out for Christmas! I know … that sounds crazy, right? I love decorating the inside for the holidays, but I’ve never tried to do it outside. When The Home Depot invited me to take part in the holiday style challenge, I was nervous and excited! It’s time to get out of my comfort zone (literally) and try my hand at lighting the cool outdoors! I was given the idea of bright season and tried my best to make our greenhouse and garden area shine for the holidays! Decorating a tree garden When we built this garden and tree earlier this year, I didn’t think of all the possibilities for decorating it. I was just thinking my garden needs an entrance! Now I know this entryway is ideal for 5-foot artificial Christmas trees. She put one on each side and then brought Mister Bear to accompany them. My kids have been very excited about this bear from the moment I pulled it out of the box and collected it. I mean, even the bear got a hug! Needless to say, this bear made a good impression and appears to be right at home right next to the garden tree. We also added this large pre-lit wreath and the bow on top of it all! Light Up The Greenhouse My greenhouse is probably the most I have in my backyard even it has the name Josephine. We recently added a balcony for her which made her Christmas decorating even more bearable! We hung bulb fixtures around her ceiling line and hung a simple battery-powered, pre-lit wreath to the door. I also put together the stacked gift box that the door put in. Josephine was already looking so cute! Then we decided to up the ante a little by creating a DIY “fake” marquee character tag. By DIY Faux Marquee Letters The process of creating these letters was fairly simple and straightforward. This type of sign can be used for a variety of events and celebrations. Check out this instructional guide on The Home Depot website to see how you did it! This might be the first time I’ve been decorating outdoors, specifically the garden / greenhouse area, but it definitely won’t be the last! This was so much fun and the kids loved seeing the space lit up at night! We managed to find everything we needed for this project from The Home Depot which made it very comfortable. Home Depot was literally a one-stop-shop for everything we needed, and I’m so grateful for the app, shipping options, and in-store storage! She’s already starting to brainstorm ideas for the upcoming vacation!
