The Managing Director of Vinci UK, Jean-Philippe Loiseau, has been appointed CEO of Equinox UK & Ireland, which includes Engie’s construction and facilities management business. Loiseau will start next month and take over from Nicola Lovett, who led the division from 2019 after six years with the Engie group. France-based ENGIE confirmed earlier this year that it is looking to sell its construction and facility management business to focus on renewable energy, power transmission and a large-scale energy infrastructure project. Then, the brand created Equans last month to weed out her nonessential interests. The UK business has continued to win significant contracts, including a £200m student housing and renovation project for the University of Leicester. Loiseau said: “I am delighted to join Equans at such a crucial moment for the business and to lead them into this next chapter of growth. Equans has a clearly defined mission to enable governments, businesses and societies to successfully negotiate energy, digital and industrial transformations. “Louiseau was a Vinci veteran, having served two major tenures at the French company. He started in 1993 and departed as General Manager in 2007. After nearly 10 years of leading environmental engineer, Antea Group, he returned to Vinci and took over positions Senior across its UK and European businesses, Vinci recently appointed its first dedicated CEO in the UK.
