Now that summer is approaching, we spend more time outside and at the beach. I just love the beach and Today’s craft uses beach-inspired items that will look great in every home! These glass wine candle holders with starfish, seashell and sea glass are exquisite and elegant. Glass candle holders for wine You can either find many supplies on the beach, or you can find all supplies at the craft store. Consider going to the dollar store to buy glasses of wine! Aside from the marine supplies, you’ll also need hot glue, floral decorations, and cardboard, or a plate of thicker paper. I found this sand in Michaels as well as seashells and starfish. Sea green glass is actually found on our local beach. During some tides, we can walk along the shore and collect sea glass of all colors! Begin by tracing the top of the wine glass around the cardboard or a thick paper board. I used a thicker paper board. If you plan to use starfish, glue them to circular cardboard. This way, it will stand completely in place inside the glass. You can use hot glue (or something stronger) to attach the piece of cardboard to the starfish to the lip of the wine glass. Wine and Glass Candle Holders with Starfish and Seashells Once the cardboard “cap” is glued and secured, flip the wine glass over and see how the shells and sea glasses sit perfectly in the sand! You can shake the glass gently to set the decorations in the glass. Next, I glued a rope around the glass for an extra nautical touch. I love that! If you are organizing a beach event, you are a must see for the Marine Stack Fish Bowl centerpiece! With the wine glass turned upside down, it leaves the perfect setting for the candle! Look for a glass votive that will fit a wine holder and coordinating candle to go inside. Glue over the nautical rope around the bottom of the wine glass. Pour more sand into the bottom of the candlestick before placing the candle in it. Put the candle on top! At the last minute, I decided to add floral decoration to the stem of the wine glass. I love how it frames the candle, softens the overall look, and adds a splash of color! A small floral bunch is held with seashell. Since I use it in my home, I used hot glue for this project because the wine glass candle holders won’t move much. If you are using these as party décor, I recommend using stronger glue.
